Tim Burton is a successful producer, director and writer. He's famously known for his films such as Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeny Todd, Alice In Wonderland, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Due to his success of these films amongst many other, he's recognised as one of the best directors of the 20th century; his talent and originality have kept him at the top of the Hollywood tree. He started his career drawing for Disney and working on mainstream films, Disney let him have the freedom to work on his own personal projects which were much darker and artistic with an edge of quirkiness which attracted masses of audiance to his films.
Quentin Tarantino

Best know for his action packed thriller genres, Tarantino has produced and directed films such as Kill Bill volumes 1, 2 and 3, Grindhouse, Sin City and Inglourious Basterds which are some of my very favourites. He ften uses an unconventional storytelling device in his films which he's known for, and they will often include one long, unbroken take where a character is followed around somewhere, often casting Uma Thurman, Michael Bowen, and Samuel L. Jackson for lead roles and comedians such as Kathy Griffin in minor extra roles. he is also well respected often createing fictional brands of objects due to his dislike of product placement.
James Cameron

Cameron is one of the most influential and respected film directors of the 20th century, he has also produced written and directed some of my favourite films which will remain in history as classical films in many years to come; Titanic, Terminator, and Avatar are just a few. He leaves a trademark print on every film he works on, frequently featuring strong female characters, bringing camera in close during fight scenes, achieving a claustrophobic effect, as well as use of machines as an important plot point or weapon.
The following is what needs to be done to bring your blog up to an A grade:
ReplyDelete1. Cinema styles section needs clips or images along with examples of each style.
2. Short films need to be analysed in terms of narrative, mise-en-scene and why you like them.
3. Research into 3 stories with analysis of each.
